In 1919, the tradition begins when a young Mr. Chen Builds his first wooden fishing boat.TACHOU, which in Chinese means “Big Ship”, was launched in 1972 to meet the demands of an expanding and multipurpose boat building industry. Since, hundreds of boats have been built exceeding numerous construction classifications, including Megayachts for private & Charter, Coast Guard vessels, Ferries, Military Patrol Boats, World Class CT Sailing Yachts, Sportfishing yachts, and much more.

TC Shipyard is strategically located along Taiwan’s Tam-Sui River, with a private slipway for launching vessels & sea trials. Their state of the art facilities include two temperature & humidity-controlled lamination shops, Machinery workshop, Painting shop, Launching railway, and a dedicated engineering department using the latest CAD design software to ensure only the best in quality. Many of the craftsmen have worked with TC Shipyard for 30+ years. In a family-style environment, inspired by the three generations of Chen family ownership, they work with Passion, Patience, & a strong sense of Purpose.
